Vail Valley Medical Center Named Great Place to Work
Becker's Healthcare recently published its 2014 list of 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare a compilation of hospitals and healthcare organizations that provide excellent work environments and outstanding benefits to their employees. For the first time Vail Valley Medical Center (VVMC) was named to the list honoring them for efforts to create the best workplace in the valley.

VVMC earned this distinction for creating a valuable employee experience including tuition and childcare reimbursement payroll deduction of ski passes and discounted gym memberships a corporate volunteer program employee wellness program professional development opportunities and funds as well as fun volunteer opportunities like Pink Vail and more.
Of just five Colorado healthcare organizations who earned this distinction VVMC is the only Colorado honoreee outside of the Denver area. Colorado honorees include VVMC Children's Hospital Colorado Craig Hospital Rose Medical Center and DaVita Healthcare Partners. Other organizations to earn this distinction include Mayo Clinic Johns Hopkins Medicine St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Award winners are selected by the Becker's Healthcare editorial team who conducted research considered nominations and evaluated organizations based on benefits workplace culture professional development opportunities and previous recognition for workplace excellence. The resulting list is a compilation of 150 healthcare organizations that go above and beyond for their employees and are great places to work.
