Thanks For Pink Vail
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who made Pink Vail 2016 the most successful year yet! When the team at Vail Valley Medical Center first envisioned Pink Vail five years ago we never imagined it would grow to become one of the community's most cherished events. Since 2012 over $2.4 million has been raised for patient care and survivorship programs for all patients at Shaw Regional Cancer Center. It's incredible to see the local communityas well as the global communitycome together to raise funds and commemorate our united fight against cancer. From school children who held bake sales and made personal contributions to events hosted by our top fundraisers the incredible support of our partners and the hard work of over 400 volunteers everyone came together and raised $738000.
I'm proud to know that 100% of the proceeds from Pink Vail will benefit current and future patients at Shaw providing free exercise training nutrition coaching emotional support outdoor adventures a nurse navigator massages integrative treatments and much more. These services are not typically covered by insurance but have proven to significantly improve the quality of life of our patients.
Pink Vail did not just raise dollars however. Thanks to everyone's enthusiasm for this event Pink Vail raised spirits. The united fight against cancer was embraced and the sense of love and support for those affected by the disease was palpable. The power of community is remarkable and we are especially grateful to the Pink Vail community. Thank you!
Sincerely
