Jack's Place, a cancer caring lodge located on the Shaw Regional Cancer Center campus, offers a retreat from the dense air and chaos of the city. Patients and their family or caregiver are invited to take respite at Jack's for the day or overnight, while in active treatment. With a pay-what-you-can philosophy, Jack's Place features 12 luxurious, private rooms, an inviting common living room, gourmet kitchen, library, yoga and massage studios and spectacular views of the Valley and the Sawatch mountain range.
 
The Sonnenalp Breast Center, located on the Shaw Regional Cancer Center Campus, has earned the American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Center of Excellence recognition and is accredited by the Mammography Quality Standards Act 
 
Prostate cancer remains the most common non-skin cancer in men and is second only to lung cancer in its deadliness. A prostate cancer diagnosis can only be confirmed with a biopsy, which is performed in a physician's office. Answers, invaluable information and assistance can be found at the Vail Valley Medical Center Educational Resource Library at Shaw Regional Cancer Center.
 
The library seeks to empower patients, their caregivers and the public by providing comprehensive, up-to-date medical information to facilitate educated and informed health care decisions. With a large lending collection of books and audiovisual materials, as well as more than 300 journal subscriptions, the library is also a resource for medical professionals within the community. Covering all aspects of cancer and other general medical topics, many resources are available in English and Spanish. All of the cancer-related materials in the library have been researched and validated by Shaw Regional Cancer Center medical and professional staff to ensure that the best information is available.
