Pink Vail: We Did It!
- Thank you to everyone who was involved in Pink Vail on March 9. This year, we had 104 spirited teams and more than 1,300 pink participants from all over the county, state and globe.Together, nearly 4,000 donors gave $350,476 for Shaw Regional Cancer Center's Spirit of Survival program that provides all patients at Shaw with free exercise classes, nutritional counseling, emotional support, outdoor activities and more during and after treatment. Pink Vail Exceeds Expectations
- Now that last Saturday's snowstorm has moved on and the pink fairy dust has cleared, we can say without a doubt that the Pink Vail event was a tremendous success, beyond belief. Pink Vail Fights Cancer
- The color pink permeated Vail and Lionshead villages March 9. Some wore plastic flamingos on their heads, some wore pink tutus and one man even wore a pink gorilla suit.They did it all for cancer in a collective effort to raise more than $250,000 for the Shaw Regional Cancer Center's survivorship program, the Spirit of Survival. Vail Valley Medical Center Volunteer Corps Celebrates Success at Annual Holiday Sales
- The Vail Valley Medical Center (VVMC) Volunteer Corps have successfully raised $2,365 during its last two bakes sale fundraisers. The first was the annual Holiday Baked Goods and Ornament Sale at VVMC where the volunteers raised $1,465 selling baked goods and gently-used holiday decorations. The second, with a Valentine theme at the Shaw Regional Cancer Center, brought in $900. New SPRI Study Concludes that High Level Athletes with Chondral and Hip Articular Cartilage Damage Can Return to Play
- In a recent study completed by the Steadman Philippon Research Institute (SPRI), it was concluded that athletes with chondral lesions and other hip articular cartilage damage could return to play with proper treatment.
