In 1990, Dr. and Mrs. Steadman moved to Vail. He was joined in practice by Dr. Richard Hawkins, a specialist in shoulder disorders. By this time, Dr. Steadman had limited his practice to the surgical and conservative treatment of knee disorders. In 2004, Dr. Hawkins moved his practice to Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Dr. Steadman has developed numerous procedures for knee surgery and rehabilitation that have been adopted by orthopaedists worldwide for the treatment of various knee disorders. His practice is limited to arthroscopic and open surgery of the knee, with particular focus on the treatment of athletic injuries and degenerative problems of the knee.
