From the Vail Daily Staff:

SteamMaster helps put helmets on children

SteamMaster Restoration and Cleaning is sponsoring 500 bike helmets for area children.   Vail Valley Medical Center's chapter of ThinkFirst, an international organization teaching kids to be safe in their daily lives, gives free bike helmets to youngsters. The helmets are properly fitted to each child at school presentations and local events.   “ ThinkFirst not only wants kids to wear bike helmets but to wear them properly fitted,” said ThinkFirst Director Kim Greene. “Wearing a bike helmet can reduce the risk of head injury by as much as 85 percent.”

ThinkFirst approached SteamMaster to sponsor the helmets as a way to help reduce helmet costs because it gives away hundreds of helmets every year. “SteamMaster is proud to donate to a worthy cause such as this,” Steammaster co-owner Gary Gilman said. “ This program has helped save lives.”
