From humble roots in the back of the kitchen at the Red Lion Restaurant in 1962, what began as the Vail Clinic evolved into today's Vail Valley Medical Center, a Level III Trauma Center and JCAHO accredited 58-bed regional hospital. Six satellite clinics serve the communities of Keystone, Breckenridge, Frisco, Avon, Beaver Creek, and Edwards.

Additionally, we have Women & Children's Center, an Outpatient Surgery Center and the state-of-the-art Shaw Regional Cancer Center. Vail Valley Medical Center boasts national recognition in orthopedics and sports medicine from the Steadman Hawkins Clinic, Vail-Summit Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, and our six Howard Head Sports Medicine Centers.
