Clinical Laboratory
Our vision is to be the medical laboratory of the greatest value to the Vail Valley community and those we serve.
The VVMC Laboratory and its team of experts include Board certified Pathologists, accredited Medical Technologists, and skilled Laboratory assistants. Our dedicated team is available for consultations, questions and educational seminars. The laboratory is accredited by the prestigious College of American Pathologists which maintains strict laboratory standards for quality testing.
Technology at our laboratory is employed through state-of-the-art instrumentation and up-to-date methodology. We offer a broad in-house test menu to best serve the needs of our patients and physicians.
Our laboratory Medical Director is Dr. Robert Macaulay. He is Board certified by the American Board of Pathology (Anatomic and Clinical). He is a member of the following professional organizations; American Medical Association, College of American Pathologists, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, U.S. and Canadian Academy of Pathology, Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists, Colorado Society of Clinical Pathologists.
The Laboratory is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outpatients are welcome from 7 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week. We are located on the second floor of the hospital. Our phone number is 970-479-7280.
