Visitation & Support Services
Visitation Policy: We request that you limit your stay to facilitate the rest and recuperation of the patient you are visiting. Upon arrival, please check-in at the Nurses’ Station before entering a patient room.
Visitation Hours: Visiting hours to all patient rooms are from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM. Please respect our patients’ need for rest and privacy by scheduling your visit during our normal visiting hours. Parents or legal guardians of our pediatric patients have the courtesy of unrestricted visitation rights and hours. In addition, one parent or guardian is permitted to stay overnight in the room with the pediatric patient. Having a loved one receiving medical care can be stressful. Vail Valley Medical Center offers a number of support services to our patients and their families.
Social Services: Our Social Services Department may be of assistance to you if you are experiencing hardship or difficulty with your loved one’s state of health. Please let a member of our staff know if you need to meet with Social Services and we will arrange a time.
Pastoral Services: A chaplain is always available for patients and their families. 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Vail Valley Medical Center does not have a chapel, but the Vail Interfaith Chapel is close by. Please see a staff member at the Nurses’ Station for directions or more information.
Patient Representative: A Patient Representative is available to you and your family to answer any questions or concerns you may have. For more information, please call 970-479-5089
