When will my test results be available?
The results for most tests will be available same or next day to your physician.
Can I eat before having my blood drawn?
If your doctor ordered a blood sugar, chemistry profile, lipid profile, cholesterol, or triglyceride, do not eat for 10 hours prior to having your blood drawn. Call the lab at 970-479-7280 if you are unsure about other tests.
Do I need a physician's order for lab tests?
Yes, we need a physician's written request before we can collect or perform any test. Physicians can mail, fax, or phone orders to the laboratory.
Can I receive a copy of my test results?
You may obtain a copy of your results from the hospital's medical records department or directly from your physician.
Am I able to get the prices of the tests prior to coming to the lab?
Yes. Call the lab directly at 970-479-7280 for pricing information.
Do I need to call and make an appointment for laboratory outpatient services?
For most outpatient services no appointment is necessary. Please call 970-479-7280 and make an appointment for the following services:
- therapeutic phlebotomies
- male fertility testing
- organ donor screening
- tests that need to be sent to a special laboratory as indicated by your physician.
Hours of Operation:
The Laboratory is the 2nd floor of VVMC and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Outpatients are welcome from 7 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week. Our phone number is 970-479-7280 and our fax is 970-479-7186.
