Vail Valley Medical Center welcomes tribute gifts to celebrate, honor, or memorialize a loved one. From tributes that mark an important occasion to memorials that perpetuate the legacy of someone who has passed away, these gifts are a significant source of support for VVMC.

Gifts in Memory
A gift in memory is a special way for family and friends to express their sympathy and love while helping VVMC advance health care in our community. Many people choose a memorial gift in lieu of flowers. VVMC acknowledges all donations given in memory by a letter to the next of kin with an expression of sympathy. Memorials are published on our donor wall and in our annual report to the community.

If you designate VVMC to receive memorial gifts in honor of your loved one, it is helpful to include the following in the obituary: “In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vail Valley Medical Center, Office of Development, PO Box 1529, Vail, CO 81658.”

Gifts in Honor
A gift in honor can acknowledge a survivor, or thank a clinician who deserves extra recognition for his or her compassion and commitment. VVMC will proudly notify the individual being honored.

Gifts in Celebration
A gift in celebration is a special opportunity to let family members, friends, and/or colleagues know that you are thinking of them. These gifts are often made to mark an important event like the birth of a child or grandchild, a wedding, anniversary, graduation, retirement, holiday, or another memorable occasion. VVMC will send a letter to the individual being honored.
