American Heart Month Events

Cardiovascular diseases, including stroke, are our nation’s No. 1 killer. To urge Americans to join the battle against these diseases, since 1963 Congress has required the president to proclaim February “American Heart Month.” The American Heart Association works with the administration to draft and sign this annual proclamation. Everything the AHA stands behind is in an effort to educate America in this regard. In efforts to raise awareness about this No. 1 killer in our valley, the Cardiac Rehab program at Vail Valley Medical Center is hosting a variety of special events.
