Christy grew up in a number of places including Tennessee, California, and overseas, but is happy to call the Vail Valley her home now. She attended the University of Tennessee-Memphis Health Science and graduated in 1995. She has gone on eight medical missions to Haiti, during which she has been the clinical director for the teams that go there. When she is not working or in Haiti, Christy can be found free heelin’ Vail, cruising the skies above, or (if she can find one) on the beach.

Andy has always had a passion for Sports Medicine which is why he decided to get his degree in Physical Therapy. He received his undergraduate at Colorado College in 1998 and his graduate at The University of Colorado Health Sciences in 2003. One of Andy’s personal accomplishments is that he ran a marathon without dying!! When he is not working you can find Andy with his wife Nanci and their 2 year old daughter Milaina.

Victoria came to Colorado from Mt. Prospect, Illinois. She completed her college degree -at Saint Louis University and then completed her Sports Residency Certification. Victoria has competed in many local cycling races and on her days off likes to go snowboarding or Biking.

Ashley joins the Howard Head team from Pittsburgh, PA. She received her undergraduate in Environmental Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy both at the University of Colorado. While Ashley is not working she likes to spend her free time outdoors hiking, cycling or running marathons. In June 2008 she completed the Ironman Coeur d’Alene in 12 hours. Go Ashley!! |

Meghan joins us from Tulsa, OK. She recently graduated from University of Oklahoma Health Science Center with her Masters in Physical Therapy. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma. Her personal interests include skiing, snowboarding, running, basketball and traveling. For her one of the most enjoyable parts of being a physical therapist at Howard Head is watching the “Phil and Luke Show” (two other Howard Head physical therapists).

Kate is a Colorado native and was born in Evergreen Colorado. She is an avid golfer and won the golf club championship 4 years in a row. She loves cheering on her favorite team the CU Buffaloes and on a day off she can be found doing various outdoor activities including golfing, tennis, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, or skiing.

Jenna is a specialist in orthopedics with an emphasis on intra-articular hip pathologies and joins us from St. Louis, Missouri. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami in Oxford, OH and earned her graduate degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She wanted to become a physical therapist because she loves working with people and wants to contribute to improving the quality of life in others. She is an avid sportswoman – having completed the Aspen High-Country Triathlon - and enjoys hiking, biking, snowboarding, Pilates, yoga, and fishing.

| Bob joins the Howard Head Sports Medicine team as Director of Eagle County Occupational Therapy. He is trained in occupational therapy and has specialized in hand therapy for the past 13 years. Bob received his degree in occupational therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He attained his certification in hand therapy in the year 2000. When you don’t see Bob hanging around the clinic, you can find him running, biking, skiing or hanging out with his wife and two daughters. |

Originally from Duluth, MN Ana decided to go into Physical Therapy after seeing how well it worked on her teammates from high school and college. Ana completed her undergraduate and graduate at the College of St. Scholastica. When Ana is not working she is either tending to her struggling tomato plant, Vince, or doing various outdoor activities.

| Jenelle became a physical therapist as a result of shoulder injuries from competing on her high school swim team and her desire to help others achieve their therapy goals. She completed her undergraduate work at Colorado State University and received her graduate degree from the Washington University in St. Louis. Her credentials include Doctor of Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainer Certification. Her areas of interest are knee and shoulder rehabilitation, however, she is adept in all injury recovery. She has completed two ½ marathons and loves outdoor activities, including - among many - skiing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, and yoga. |

Chelsea McMillin is a patient representative for Howard Head in the Vail clinic. She grew up in Denver and went to school at the University of Colorado in Boulder for Integrative Physiology She is one of five kids (3 sisters and a brother) and her parents are still in Denver. When Chelsea is not working she enjoys running, skiing, hiking, dancing, music, ICW (Ice cream Wednesdays), and FHF (Free Hug Fridays).

Shayna joins the Howard Head Sports Medicine team from Canajoharie, NY, by way of Simmons College, where she earned her doctorate in physical therapy. She is also certified as a clinical instructor. Her areas of interest include orthopedics, vestibular rehabilitation and neurology. Shayna is one of our therapists competent in Spanish, making her a great asset to the clinic. She managed 50 days in Vail’s Back Bowls last year; so needless to say, on a day off, you can find her skiing.

Meredith graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998 with a BS in Physical Therapy. Her area of specialty is the spine, serving as a resource for HHSM therapists on spine protocols and procedures, a liaison between physicians and patients, and education. She is in the process of achieving her Functional Capacity Evaluations and Pilates certifications. She has just recently completed her Sport Certified Specialist certification. Meredith is an accomplished athlete, participating in biking, swimming, triathlons, and, new this winter, skate skiing. Feel free to ask her about her popcorn making abilities – she’d be happy to share her secrets!

Matt, a Colorado native, joined the HHSMC team in the summer of 2007. Growing up in Pagosa Springs afforded him the opportunity to participate in many sports, including football, soccer, wrestling, snowboarding, mountain biking and kayaking. Matt completed his undergrad work at Colorado State University in 2002 and earned his doctorate in physical therapy from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2007. His areas of focus are sports injuries and orthopedics. On a day off, you can find Matt snowboarding at Wolf Creek – preferably a powder day!

Andrea Joins our Inpatient team from Newburgh, Indiana. In 1999 she completed her Psych Degree from Indiana University and in 2004 she completed her OT degree also from Indiana University. Andrea decided to pursue OT for the opportunity to be able to live anywhere in the world. On her off time Andrea enjoys being outside and listening to AC/DC while skiing which she does a lot considering that she got 72 days in last year!

Laura Jean is a member of the hip rehabilitation team at HHSM. She joins our practice from Baltimore, MD via George Washington University, where she received a BS in exercise science from the school of public health, and Northern Michigan University, where she received a masters degree in exercise science. Laura Jean has traveled extensively with, and treated, several members of gold medal and world championship Olympic teams. When not at work, Laura Jean can be found perfecting her photography skills, traveling and participating in outdoor activities.

A member of our occupational therapy team, Kelly holds Occupational Therapist, Registered and Certified Hand Therapist credentials. She wanted to find a career where she could meet and work with people in a challenging, inspirational, and exciting environment. She moved to Vail from St Louis, where she completed her training at St. Louis University. Kelly specializes in upper extremity work – elbow, wrist and hand. Outside of work, she enjoys running, cycling, hiking and snowshoeing. Kelly has completed two full marathons and several ½ marathons.

Michael is the oldest therapist at Howard Head in Vail. A graduate with a BS in Physical Therapy (DPT or MSPT was not even offered at that time) from St. Louis University in 1990, he practiced outpatient orthopedics at the University Hospital for 10 years which included management and part time teaching until 2000. In Sept of 2000 Michael took a sabbatical in which he and a buddy bought a RV and skied every major resort in the Rockies; mountain biked throughout the US; and visited 49 of 50 states (Hawaii is tough to get to in an RV). He ended up in Vail in 2003 and with its outdoor beauty and lifestyle he found his home. Currently, Michael coordinates all the rehab for the world renowned hip orthopedic surgeon Dr. Marc Philippon. He was certified as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) in 2007. Michael likes to spend his free time with his 13 y/o daschund Emily and my 1 y/o daschund–pug mix Oliver. He also enjoys to road and mountain bike, ski, snowboard, run (12 marathons including Boston), and enjoy fine wine, food, and friends! Family and friends are most dear to Michael!

| Brandie is a local girl from Eagle, Colorado. She attended the University of Wyoming for her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, and then studied for her Master degree in Sport Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi. Her experience also includes a year long fellowship with the Steadman Hawkins Clinic. This year Brandie will be an athletic trainer with the US Women’s Alpine Ski Team and travel with them during the world cup season. Her interests include skiing, outdoor activities, and raising her chickens. |
