Careful monitoring can prevent bleeding and clotting complications. Our clinic staff includes a pharmacist and nurse practitioner who:

1. Provide assessments.
2. Review current prescription medications, over-the-counter medications and supplements to check for possible drug interactions.
3. Monitor lab results.
4. Adjust medication dosages as necessary.
5. Communicate results with the patient and their physician.
6. Provide patient education on Coumadin®, heparin, Low Molecular Weight Heparin.
7. Guide the management of blood thinners for invasive procedures.
